A Call to Remembrance

Maybe you've felt it for a while now?

A quiet ache beneath the busyness.
A longing to slow down and actually listen to yourself.
A sense that the way you've been living —
pushing, proving, managing, holding it all together —
isn't the whole story of who you are.

Maybe you've lost touch with something softer in yourself.
Something that knows without needing to analyze.
Something that trusts without needing to control.
Something that creates, receives, and rests without guilt.

Not something outside of you, but something in you.
A wisdom that lives in your body, your heart, your depths.
Something that has always been there,
Just waiting to be remembered…

A Different Kind of Homecoming

For most of us, our relationship with the Divine has come through structures that live outside of us.

Sacred texts, institutions, teachers, oracles…
The mind reaching upwards toward something bigger and beyond…

The return to the Feminine is a return to an entirely different kind of relationship with the Sacred.

It is a remembering that the path of Source moves through us. Through our bodies, through our hearts, through our felt sense of being alive in this moment.

Ancient wisdom traditions have understood this for millennia, actively tending the thread of connection that runs from deep within our bellies to the Great Loving Mother — the place from which all life emerges.

The great forgetting of this wisdom — our loss of connection to the Feminine Source within, and the severing from our own inner knowing, is one of the deepest wounds of modern life.

We've been taught to mistrust what we feel, to override what the body knows, to seek guidance everywhere except within. We've been conditioned out of our own direct connection with the Sacred.

Returning to the Feminine is, at its root, a reclamation of that connection. Not through belief, not through understanding, but through direct experience.

Through the body.
Through the senses.
Through the heart.

Through a felt sense of the Divine within.

This retreat is an invitation into that return, and into the wholeness that is possible when Masculine and Feminine stop warring and begin to collaborate —

When the mind learns to soften and listen.
When the body is trusted as a source of wisdom.
When the heart is the lens through which we meet ourselves and the world.

This is not about dominance of one energy over another. It is about integration.

It is about the marriage of doing and being, of structure and flow,
of clarity and surrender. Of heaven meeting earth, here, in the present moment…through the open and embodied heart.

And, it is the connection we must repair if we want to find our way home, and restore balance for ourselves, our communities, and our planet.

The Medicine of Wild Rose

At the center of this retreat is a gentle plant diet with Wild Rose, one of the great keepers and teachers of Feminine Wisdom.

If you haven’t experienced a plant diet before, you could think of it like an intentional and sustained conversation with a wise elder.

Through daily ceremonies, guided tea rituals, herbal steams, and somatic practices, you’ll enter into a deepening relationship with Wild Rose as a guide and healing ally. We’ll invite her Greater Intelligence to lead our journey of repair with the Sacred Feminine.

Rose is gentle. Rose is patient. And Rose has a remarkable capacity to open what has been closed, especially in the realm of the heart.

She also has crystal clear boundaries and fierce protection. And brings a healthy and grounded strength to accompany each new opening.

Rose works with the many invisible things we carry:

The armor we've built around tenderness,
The places where we've learned to distrust our own knowing,
The grief we haven't had space to feel,
The unmet longing for connection we’ve tried to outrun.

She offers love and forgiveness to these guarded places we hold.
She doesn't push. She invites.
She offers surrender.
And in her presence, something long in waiting, can finally exhale and open.

Balancing with the Masculine

Midweek, we’ll gather for an all-day ceremony with Grandfather Medicine, and ask the Compassionate Masculine to support the awakening of our Feminine Selves.

A strong spine supports an open heart. And the masculine presence offers beautiful support for integrating what Wild Rose opens.

———

All medicines will be optional. Full guidance will be shared before each ceremony so you can make informed, heart-led choices for yourself.

Where We Gather

The retreat is held at Kawoq Forest — a woman-owned, eco-luxury retreat center nestled in the mountains above San Marcos la Laguna, overlooking Lake Atitlán and the surrounding volcanoes. The center is devoted to honoring nature and indigenous culture, and the land itself carries that intention.

Two ancient Mayan altars on the property offer a rare and privileged space for prayer and ceremony. The beauty is both humbling and expansive — a potent mirror to support our theme.

Fresh, locally sourced vegetarian meals are prepared daily, with gluten-free options available. The center is rustic, off-grid, and solar-powered. It is clean, comfortable, and intentionally simple.

The center is accessible by a short 10–15 minute hike from the village, with bag portage available. Please reach out if you have any concerns about accessibility.

The Shape of the Week

Imagine waking each morning to the sounds of the forest, the stillness of the lake, your body already softer than when you arrived. Moving slowly through yin yoga as the mist clears over the volcanoes. Sitting in a circle of fellow dieters, gathered around an altar of devotion to the Feminine, sensing your shared intentions — not to perform wellness, but to remember, and come home.

Over seven days perched in the Guatemalan highlands, held by the ancient volcanic land and the vastness of Lago Atitlán, you will have the space to:

Stop performing and start feeling,
Reconnect with the wisdom of your body,
Release patterns of control, over-functioning, collapse, waiting,
Open your heart to a more receptive, trusting, and alive way of being,
Remember what it feels like to be held —

by community, by nature, by something bigger than yourself.

The retreat will unfold as a living ceremony from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Rather than a packed itinerary, the week will have a natural rhythm:

Quiet, inward mornings with the Wild Rose diet,
Teachings and circle work through the midday,
Embodied movement, Temazcal and herbal steams in the afternoons,
Evenings around the fire in sharing circle.

We will open together with a Cacao ceremony on arrival day and close the same way on our final morning — bookending a week of deep inner work with sweetness, song, and gratitude.

Woven throughout the week are teachings on the Sacred Feminine:

The body as a source of wisdom and sacred portal,
The Mother wound and Feminine lineage repair,
The practice of surrender and forgiveness,
Reclaiming creative power,
Balancing Masculine and Feminine within.

There will also be protected time for rest, integration, and opportunity for 1:1 sessions with retreat facilitators.

Your Guides

Megan Theoret

Lead Facilitator

Megan is a guide and ceremonialist who supports clients in returning to their True Nature. Her path began with a health crisis in her mid-twenties that led her into over a decade of immersive study with wisdom traditions across the Americas. What she found along the way was that so much suffering is rooted in living out of alignment with who we truly are, and that returning to that alignment is very much possible.

She has since devoted herself as a guide and leader in the emerging field of psychedelic-assisted therapy, and offers courses, retreats and mentorship to support people in their journey of coming home. Megan bridges her connection to traditional wisdom with a modern, integrative and trauma-informed approach to healing. This retreat carries the heart of so much that she has learned — about the body as a source of wisdom, the Feminine as a path home, and the profound intelligence of the plant world as a guide.

Dani Waldman

Supporting Facilitator

Dani is a somatic practitioner and community creator who supports people in coming home to their bodies. Her own path into this work began after years of witnessing burnout and disembodiment in the organizations around her, and feeling called to explore what healing could look like when it truly honors the whole person.

She works with themes of grief, boundaries, consent, relationships, and self-expression — always through the lens of curiosity and gentleness. She believes in the power of community and conversation as forces for change, and is passionate about making this kind of work genuinely accessible. She brings the world of somatics, her spiritual practice in folk herbalism, and a deep reverence for inner seasons to everything she does. Her presence in this retreat brings warmth, groundedness, and a gift for helping people feel safe in exploring their bodies, and remembering who they are.

Kristalee Hites

Supporting Facilitator

Kristalee is a plant medicine ceremonialist, integrationist, and intuitive healer whose life has been devoted to the study of consciousness, healing, and the remembering of who we truly are. Her path has taken her to teachers in Nepal, Guatemala, and Peru, and has woven together indigenous plant medicine ways, family lineage work, and the creative arts into a practice that is both rooted and alive. She has been teaching yoga, meditation, and working in mental health since 2010.

Kristalee brings a rare combination of depth and lightness to her work —approaching each person with equal parts reverence and humor. Her areas of focus include trauma-informed care, somatic awareness, IFS, non-duality meditation, and medicine music. She carries the conviction that each person already holds the intelligence needed for their own healing, and sees her role as helping others remember and trust what is already within them.

This Retreat Is For You If...

This retreat is for all genders. It’s for anyone who wishes to deepen or repair their relationship with the Feminine — within themselves, and with their relations.

It’s for those who are drawn to collaborating with wise plant teachers.

Those who want to soften their hearts and open to a loving and safe relationship with the Unknown. And those who want to discover the abundant field that lies on the other side of Sacred Surrender.

This retreat may be especially right for you if:

• You're tired of living from your head and ready to come back into your body,
•You sense there is a more receptive, trusting version of yourself waiting to emerge,
• You feel the call to return to your own inner knowing — and to trust it,
• You've been through a period of depletion, disconnection, or transition and are ready to be replenished,
• You feel called to deepen your relationship with feminine wisdom — within yourself and as a living practice,
• You want to reclaim your creative power and reconnect with the source that feeds your work,
• You long for a more embodied, collaborative relationship between the Masculine and Feminine within you.

You don't need a background in plant medicine or ceremonial work to be here. You don't need to have it all figured out. What matters most is that something in you feels the pull and you're ready to follow it.

Questions You Might Have

  • A plant diet is a traditional practice of entering into intentional relationship with a plant spirit over a sustained period of time.

There are a number of traditions, protocols, and ways to approach a diet.

We’ll be taking a modern, integrative, herbal approach, which will include a light vegetarian diet, daily ceremonial teas, herbal saunas, pelvic steams, guided meditation, and somatic work.

Each practice will serve to deepen your connection with the plant's healing intelligence, and help you build a strong and lasting relationship that will continue to unfold and serve you for many years to come.

  • Yes. This retreat welcomes all levels of experience. The teachings and practices are designed to be accessible whether this is your first ceremony or your fiftieth. What matters most is your intention and your willingness to meet the experience with authenticity and an open heart.

  • No. All medicines—including Cacao, Wild Rose, and Grandfather Medicine—are optional. Guidance is always provided before each ceremony so you can make an informed choice. Many people receive profound benefit from the ceremonies without taking medicines, and that is equally welcome here.

  • The retreat center is accessible only on foot—a 10–15 minute hike from the village of San Marcos la Laguna. A bag portage service is available. If you have any physical health concerns or mobility limitations, please contact Megan before registering to discuss what's possible.

  • Plant medicine experiences have a way of activating and amplifying what's been going on beneath the surface. It is essential that you are at a baseline level of mental, emotional, and physical wellness that allows you to navigate and integrate intensified experiences—and that you have adequate external support available to you. If you have any concerns, please reach out before registering.
